The founder of "Facebook" is Mark Elliot Zuckerberg

The founder of "Facebook" is Mark Elliot Zuckerberg. American business magnate, internet entrepreneur and philanthropist was born on May 14, 1984 in New York, USA. He is known as the founder, chairman, chief executive officer and controlling shareholder of the social media website Facebook and its parent company Meta Platforms.

Zuckerberg started using computers and programming in high school. During his school days, he created a program that allowed all the computers between his home and his father's office to communicate with each other. During his high school years, Zuckerberg worked on a music player called the Synapse Media Player.

After some time, he created a program called Facemash. It was a program that allowed students to choose the most beautiful person from a photo.

We had Facebook books that had names and pictures of everyone who lived in the dorms. At first he built a site and posted pictures of two men and two women. Visitors to the site had to choose who was "better" and a ranking was made based on the votes.

Zuckerberg attended Harvard University, where he founded Facebook in February 2004 with roommates Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskowitz, and Chris Hughes. Originally launched to select college campuses, the site quickly expanded beyond colleges, reaching one billion users in 2012. Zuckerberg took the company public in May 2012 with a majority stake. In 2007, at the age of 23, he became the world's youngest self-made billionaire. Zuckerberg used his money to establish many charities, including the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.
